In 2023, Onlyfans paid more than $928.2 thousand in “Google tax”, as the introduction of VAT on electronic services of foreign companies was previously called. Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, wrote about this in Telegram.

“In general, according to the results of the declaration for the second quarter of 2023, non-resident taxpayers declared 13.0 million euros and 39.4 million dollars. USD or UAH 1.9 billion, which is at the level of the first quarter of 2023,” he wrote.

The committee chairman also said that as of August 1, 94 taxpayers were registered. The largest amounts of tax payments in the second quarter were made by Google Ireland Limited, Google Commerce Limited, Apple Distribution International Limited, Valve Corporation, Ebay Marketplaces GMBH, and Fenix International Limited.

“In 2023, non-resident taxpayers paid UAH 5.75 billion in value added tax,” Danylo Hetmantsev said.

As a reminder, in 2021 the so-called “Google tax” law will come into force, which introduces VAT (20%) on electronic services provided by non-residents to individuals (except for individual entrepreneurs who are not VAT payers), the place of supply of which is located in the customs territory of Ukraine.
