Elon Musk has ended the debate about exactly what Twitter should look like after the rebrand. According to him, it will be dark by default. This is reported by The Verge.
At the same time, the billionaire added that the light mode will also be available to users.
“A lot of people have asked to keep light mode, so we will, but the default will be dark and dim will be deleted,” Elon Musk noted.
Twitter’s rebranding to X is happening apace. The day before, it was assumed that the platform would make a bet purely on the dark mode.
“This platform will soon only have ‘dark mode’. It is better in every way,” said Elon Musk.
This immediately caused a backlash, with some people claiming that light text on black could be harder to read. Many have asked to keep the light mode option even though it has switched to dark mode by default.
We will remind you that earlier the company’s application for Android received a new name and logo, which can now be seen in the Google Play Store. An iOS app is likely to follow soon. Meanwhile, Twitter is doing everything it can to win back advertisers.
