Microsoft introduced a new feature based on artificial intelligence to Teams users. This is a set of “virtual makeup” filters, writes The Verge.

Filters are similar to effects that change the appearance. The Maybelline Beauty app will provide Teams users with 12 unique looks with the ability to choose different effects. Each look will contain a breakdown of actual Maybelline products and shades so users can recreate the look on their own face with a filter.

The artificial intelligence technology behind the filters is provided by Modiface. It is engaged in the development of augmented reality technologies for the beauty industry. Modiface technology is one of the most popular virtual make-up “try-on” offerings and is used by various cosmetics companies, including Sephora and Estée Lauder.

The new feature is available to Microsoft Teams Enterprise users worldwide. You can find it in the Video effects tab in the meeting settings in Teams.

By the way, Microsoft has set a high price for access to Copilot, an AI-based assistant. For Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard and Business Premium customers, it will be $30 per month.
