The number of daily active users and the time they spend on the Threads platform continues to decrease. This is reported by The Verge with reference to The Wall Street Journal.

According to Sensor Tower, the number of active users has fallen by 70% to 13 million per day compared to the peak. At the same time, data from SimilarWeb shows that the average time that users spend on Threads has decreased from 19 minutes to 4 minutes.

However, the daily number of active Twitter users remains unchanged – about 200 million. They spend an average of 30 minutes a day on the social network.

As a reminder, on July 14, Threads registered 23.6 million active users. This is also inferior to the peak indicators – as recently as July 7, there were 49 million active users on the platform. Such a decline was called predictable, because the platform was launched at a time when many Twitter users were looking for an alternative. But the app lacks many basic features.

As you know, Meta launched Threads on July 6 for iOS and Android users in 100 countries. The new platform crossed the mark of 2 million registrations two hours after launch, 10 million users in seven hours, and 30 million users in 12 hours.
