Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the new part in the popular Assassin’s Creed series, which should be released as soon as this fall, will receive an unusual accessory – OWO Haptic Gaming System: a vest with tactile feedback, which will allow the player to personally feel what is happening to their character. The manufacturer promises that with it the player will not just “play the role” of Basim, but will also become him.
The OWO Haptic Gaming System itself is an existing product, a special “shirt” that is used in some virtual reality systems and gives players physical feedback that conveys the feeling of what is happening to them in the game.
Unfortunately, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will not have support for VR mode, in which the effect would be much stronger – but this did not prevent the manufacturer from announcing a special branded version of its product called Assassin’s Creed: Mirage Special Edition, which will also contain a code for the digital version of the game for PS5, Xbox Series X or PC.
OWO notes that in addition to the 30 standard sensations that the system can reproduce (“hit”, “dart hit”, “severe wound in the stomach”, etc.), the version for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will also receive additional exclusive options that will simulate the sensations during parkour.
Currently, the manufacturer does not say when and at what price the OWO Haptic Gaming System will be available, but the regular version is available now for €499. You can get an idea of what the system actually looks like in real life, and not on advertising renders, from the official video:
