Assassin’s Creed Mirage: the trailer is dedicated to the main character

Ubisoft presented a new trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage, this time dedicated to the main character of the game – Basim ibn Ishaq and his journey from a street thief to a master assassin.

The developers reminded us that we first meet Basim during the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a separate and independent story and the player does not need to play any of the previous parts to understand it. Of course, for true fans of the series, there will be many references and pleasant secrets.

The events of the game take place in the year 861, 12 years before the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The story of Basim begins as the story of a petty street thief who is in the wrong place at the wrong time and eventually joins the Brotherhood. Basim even visits the legendary Alamut fortress, which was still under construction in his time.

Unlike previous games, the character is not upgraded like in action/RPG, but gets new abilities after completing story missions. The combat system is also more similar to the first parts of the game, more emphasis on blocking and counterattacks, in addition, traps, poisonous darts, etc. have returned to the hero’s arsenal. Weapons, unlike the previous three games, are limited to a sword and dagger, just like the first games in the series. The return of suit coloring is presented as a separate feature.

As a reminder, the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for October 12, the game can already be pre-ordered on PC, PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 5 and Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S. In Ukraine, the price of the PC version starts at UAH 1,089 for the Standard Edition, the game is available at Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store.
