Simplified versions of flagship smartphones are one of the most interesting offers on the market, because they can often offer a lot of interesting features and an up-to-date design of the best devices, and at the same time cost significantly less than the top gadgets of manufacturers. And although Samsung missed such a model last year, this time the Galaxy S23 FE (Fan Edition) is expected to return to store shelves.

Insider Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks) on the pages of the Smartprix website showcased the first quality renders of this year’s Galaxy S23 FE model. Without any surprises, the smartphone repeats the design of Samsung Galaxy S23, leaving the frame around the protrusions of the camera lenses and leaving the back of the case minimalistic. Which is not surprising, because even cheaper lines began to adapt their appearance much faster to the example of flagships.

In front, it will have a flat display with a diagonal of 6.4 inches. It will be an AMOLED matrix with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Traditionally, it will get a small cutout for the front camera in the upper central part. A fingerprint scanner will also be placed under the glass.

The dimensions of such a model are expected to be 158×76.3×8.2 mm, which is slightly larger than its predecessor, and larger than the smallest flagship Galaxy S23 (which also has a smaller display of 6.1 inches).

As for other specifications, rumors so far vary. The smartphone can get the previous version of the top processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, or it will have a proprietary chip Samsung Exynos 2200 (although the current flagships this time used exclusively versions from Qualcomm). Along with this, the smartphone will have 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. The battery capacity will be 4,500 mAh, and the fast charging power will be 25 W.

Insiders also say that the improvement will also affect the main wide-angle sensor, which will be transferred from the Samsung Galaxy S23 (resolution – 50 MP, which is significantly more than 12 MP in the previous Galaxy S21 FE).

There is still no date for the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, but insiders suggest that the model may appear together with the presentation of the updated folding smartphones Galaxy Fold5 and Galaxy Flip5 as early as July 26.
