Soon Stories will appear in Telegram, which will be placed above the list of chats, writes GRUNT with reference to the founder of the messenger Pavel Durov.

Users will be able to choose who sees each of their Stories. They will also be able to edit photos and videos, add captions, links and tag other people.

Stories are expected to support a dual camera, so photos and videos can be taken simultaneously with the front and rear cameras.

At users’ choice, Stories can be displayed for 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours. There will also be a feature that will keep stories on the profile page permanently.

Earlier, Google engineer Dan Reva said that Telegram had discovered a bug that allows attackers to activate the camera and microphone on macOS laptops. He was able to bypass the TCC by giving unauthorized access to the user’s sensitive data and recording them through the camera.

Cybersecurity expert Matt Johansen explained that the bug allows attackers to record video with audio from the camera and save the file in a hidden folder on the Mac. Recording can be done even if the relevant permissions are disabled.
