In the category of “dream cars” there are usually all kinds of sports coupes and supercars, until suddenly – a pickup truck. However, RAM Rampage turned out to be too successful! And there is a sports version in the line. Well, let’s start from the beginning…
And the start of the RAM Rampage pickup truck is the starting version of REBEL, which has an emphatically brutal character and is focused on overcoming off-road conditions. For example, pay attention to 17-inch wheels, off-road tires, dark plastic protection on the body. Or pay attention to the typical “face” in the style of RAM with a large radiator grille and characteristic headlights. And don’t forget to spot the US flags in the lanterns!
So RAM Rampage is a typical American! Although not completely. The fact is that the RAM Rampage car is built on the basis of the FIAT Toro and developed by the local division of the Stellantis concern (which includes the RAM company) in Brazil. Hence the overall design based on the SMAL WIDE 4×4 platform with independent wheel suspensions and a fully load-bearing body.
This is a rather rare (although not unique) situation in the segment of pickups, which are usually created on a frame basis. A load-bearing body, instead of a frame base, allows you to make the car lighter and more compact, which is convenient in the city. For example, the RAM Rampage pickup is only 5.03 meters long and has a 2.99-meter wheelbase, which is also not much by pickup standards. At the same time, it did not “boost” its cargo capacity and is capable of transporting 750-1015 kg, depending on the version.

The RAM Rampage pickup also has the equipment for comfort. So, all versions of the car will immediately receive a 10.3-inch digital instrument panel, 2-zone climate control, UConnect multimedia system with a 12.3-inch display, adaptive cruise control, LED headlights and much more.
Moreover, the sports version of the RAM Rampage R/T, in addition to all this, will also receive a specially tuned suspension, reduced ground clearance (-10 mm), black gloss on the body and black 19-inch wheels. Looks very cool!
And it drives well. After all, the RAM Rampage R/T pickup additionally has its own engine settings and an original exhaust system. Therefore, the most powerful version can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 220 km/h (other versions – 7.1 seconds and 210 km/h, respectively). When we talk about the most powerful version, we mean a 2-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 272 hp. and with a torque of 400 Nm.
An alternative to it is a 2-liter turbodiesel with 170 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Moreover, any combination of engines and configurations still means the mandatory presence of all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Also, depending on the combination of engines and equipment, the cost of the car changes – in the range from $50 to 56 thousand. Production will start soon. Initially, the RAM Rampage pickup will be available only for Brazil and Latin American countries, but its appearance in other markets is not excluded.
