Apple’s mixed reality headset presentation Vision Pro was accompanied by a promise to developers of the necessary tools to create a software component. And the company did not delay in providing the SDK.

“Starting today, Apple’s global community of developers will be able to create an entirely new class of spatial computing apps that take full advantage of the infinite canvas in Vision Pro and seamlessly blend digital content with the physical world to enable extraordinary new experiences.

With the visionOS SDK, developers can utilize the powerful and unique capabilities of Vision Pro and visionOS to design brand-new app experiences across a variety of categories including productivity, design, gaming, and more,” the company’s press release reads.

So, along with the visionOS SDK, the company provides an operating system simulator to developers. What’s more, next month Apple will open test sites in Cupertino, London, Munich, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo, where developers can test their software on Vision Pro. The company’s engineers will also be there for support.

Also, starting next month, developers will be able to apply for the Vision Pro developer kit.

The new visionOS SDK, updated Xcode, Simulator and Reality Composer Pro are now available to developers on the relevant page on Apple website.
