The prophetic science fiction series Black Mirror returns to the screens. On June 15, its 6th season was finally released. The Ukrainian dubbing of the cult anthology series is also available.
“In the most unpredictable season of this heart-breaking anthology, many surprises and twisted stories about different eras and horrors await you,” says the website of the Netflix streaming service.
Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker told Tudum that with the new season of the series he surprised even himself.
“I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people — and myself — or else what’s the point? It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself,” the writer, creator and executive producer said.
He said he started Season 6 by deliberately changing some of his own basic assumptions about what to expect.
“The stories are all still tonally Black Mirror through-and-through — but with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before,” added Charlie Brooker.
The variety applies both to the themes of the episodes and to the list of stars who have joined the new season.
“Bringing it all to life we’ve got an incredible roster of disgustingly skillful, smart directors working with a cast of actors so talented they frankly have no right to exist,” the author emphasized.
The information about the work on the 6th season of Black Mirror became known last May. At the time, the details of individual stories were kept strictly secret, but it was known that the new season would have more episodes than the previous one.
