Yes, we understand that the announcement of a small Ukrainian indie game against the background of a bunch of huge AAA games may go unnoticed, but we advise you to pay attention to STONKS-9800 by Ternox, coming to Steam Early Access on July 17, 2023.
STONKS-9800 is a stock market simulator inspired by retro anime and urban pop, set in Japan in the 80s. The game combines visual novel and stock market simulator elements with retro anime and vaporwave aesthetics. STONKS-9800 has a nice and relaxed atmosphere, but the game also touches on more serious topics. After all, it was a time not only of the expansion of Japanese companies, the culture of Salarymen, city pop, pachinko machines, and izakaya bars but also the period of the spread of “karoshi”, deaths from excessive work. Therefore, enjoy the success of the business, but do not forget about your health!
Steam Early Access will begin on July 17, 2023, with a full release scheduled for 2024. The game will be released on Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S.
