The Iranian military presented a supposedly hypersonic missile of its own production – Fattah (“Conqueror”). This is reported by The Guardian with reference to the Iranian news agency IRNA.

It is stated that the missile has a range of 1,400 km, can accelerate to a speed of Mach 15, and is invulnerable to modern anti-aircraft weapons. Fattah can reach Israeli territory in 400 seconds, according to Iranian media.

“Fattah can bypass the most advanced anti-ballistic missile systems of the United States and the Zionist regime, including Israel’s Iron Dome,” Iranian state television reports.

Iran claims to have developed a hypersonic Fattah missile

“This missile power means that the region will be safe from evildoers and foreign aggression,” Iranian president, Ebrahim Raisi said. “So its message to the people of the region is a message of security, and its message to those who are thinking of attacking Iran is that the Islamic Republic is a powerful country and its power aims to support the people of Iran and the oppressed people of the world.”

But Western experts doubt that the characteristics of the Fattah missile correspond to the claims, because in the past Iran has repeatedly exaggerated its successes in missile technology, and it is doubtful that in the complex process of creating hypersonic weapons, Iran, which suffers from Western sanctions, would be able to overtake China and the United States.

Currently, conditionally hypersonic weapons are available only in Russia. The People’s Republic of China and the United States are only going to adopt such missiles. So it is doubtful that Iran has overtaken these two countries.

We will remind you that the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine proved that the vaunted Russian “hypersonic” weapon can be destroyed by Western air defense means. Even in the case of the mass application.

Let’s hope that the apparently hypersonic Fattah missile will attract the attention of the Israel Defense Forces, who are always very “interested” in such developments.
