While SCS Software is leisurely adding to American Truck Simulator, approaching east coast of the USA, a competitor decided to “seize” the still unoccupied state – Alaska. The developers of Alaskan Road Truckers released a new video in which they showed the gameplay and told why their game is more than just a truck simulator.

Alaskan Road Truckers, which until recently was called Alaskan Truck Simulator (!), is being developed by Polish studio Road Studio, and it seems that they have decided to give players exactly what they have been asking for from SCS Software for years, but never got.

Seasons, snow and bad weather, walking mode, interactive cockpit with lots of buttons to push, interactive elements with the service truck, activities outside the cockpit, military cargo and more. It seems that the authors simply went through the list of player requirements for SCS Software. That is why Road Studio emphasizes that Alaskan Road Truckers is not a truck simulator, but a driver simulator, once again trolling SCS.

Well, competition is good. We won’t know what Road Studio achieved until the end of 2023, when Alaskan Road Truckers comes to Windows PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. In the meantime, you can add the game to Steam Wish List.
