Nothing founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the second-generation Nothing Phone will be unveiled in July. He also noted that this year the smartphone will be available in the US market at the same time as other regions because the American market is very important for the company.

Pei also revealed that the Phone (2) will have a larger capacity battery (4,700 mAh versus the predecessor’s 4,500 mAh). Last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will be responsible for the performance of the device. Nothing explained this choice by the fact that 8+ Gen 1 has already proven its effectiveness and has been optimized many times since its release. So it will provide the device with top performance, while it will not cost too much.

Nothing continues to prioritize the user experience over joining the spec race, and the 8+ Gen 1 will help the company do just that. In any case, it will be interesting to see if the Phone (2) can surpass the performance of its predecessor. The Nothing Phone (1) sold an estimated 750,000 units worldwide.
