Two days before the official release of Radeon RX 7600 video cards, graphics adapter specifications directly from the developers appeared on the network. Although almost all the key specifications were previously revealed, the new leak from HD Tecnologia allows you to supplement the existing data.

Radeon RX 7600 TBP

First of all, it concerns the power consumption of the video card. The value of TGP (Total Board Power) for the Radeon RX 7600 will be 165 W, which is 33 W more than that of the predecessor Radeon RX 6600. In this case, it becomes clear why for additional power 8-pin connector will be required. For systems with a new video card, the developers recommend using a power supply unit with a power of 550 W or more. These values are calculated for the case of using a Ryzen 9 5900X level CPU (TDP 105 W) in the system.

Recently, it was also possible to get the first photos of the Radeon RX 7600 reference design. These are fairly compact adapters with a two-slot design and a pair of axial fans. The total length of the video card is less than 210 mm. There are three DisplayPort 2.1 and one HDMI 2.1 on the interface panel. One 8-pin connector is provided for connecting additional power. It is unlikely that partners will use the reference design for their adapters. However, some Radeon RX 7600 will hit the market in this form as well.

Radeon RX 7600 specs

Returning to the specification of the reference model, we remind you that the Radeon RX 7600 will use a 6-nanometer Navi 33 GPU with 2048 computing units. The operating frequency of the Game GPU will be 2250 MHz, with acceleration up to 2625 MHz.

The video card has a fairly high peak computing performance – up to 21.75 TFLOPS (FP32). This value is very close to that of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (22.1 TFLOPS).

The Radeon RX 7600 is expected to feature a 128-bit memory bus with GDDR6 chips running at an effective 18,000 MHz. This provides a bandwidth of 288 GB/s. However, the graphics processor has a 2nd generation AMD Infinity Cache buffer with a capacity of 32 MB, which allows you to improve the RAM. The developers do not even specify the base value, immediately referring to the effective memory bandwidth – 476.9 GB/s.

The PCI-E 4.0 x8 interface is used to connect the video card.

Although the release of Radeon RX 7600 is only a few days away, the colleagues at VideoCardz have collected the first statistics with the results of testing the video card in the 3DMark package. After averaging the obtained results, appropriate diagrams were prepared.

Radeon RX 7600 3DMark Time Spy

According to preliminary data, the Radeon RX 7600 video card was 20-25% slower than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB at the DX12 stage of Time Spy. In the Speed Way subtest with ray tracing, the lag is much more noticeable – more than 40%. However, it should be noted that the Radeon RX 7600 is the base model of the line, which would be more correct to compare with the GeForce RTX 4060, but the latter will appear only in July. At the same time, AMD’s new model managed to improve the results of its predecessor Radeon RX 6600 by about a third.

Radeon RX 7600 3DMark Fire Strike

But at the stage of Fire Strike (DX11), AMD’s new product was only 3-8% inferior to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, showing better performance than the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. Usually synthetic tests should be used only as a preliminary guide. It is much more interesting to get results in real games. It remains to wait quite a bit.

Despite the fact that the technical specificationcs of the Radeon RX 7600 are already known, the recommended price of the video card remains uncertain. Judging by leaks from retail trading platforms, the starting value for the US market is expected at the level of $300.
