NVIDIA confirmed that among the announced GeForce RTX 4060 video cards, only the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB will also be presented in the Founders Edition reference design while the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB and the GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB, which will go on sale in July, will be offered exclusively as original models from partners.
Usually, the appearance of Founders Edition versions is a bit disturbing for AIB partners, who have to compete with the reference solution from developers to some extent. So the information that FE-versions are provided only for GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB should calm them down a bit. Although it is usually better for users to have as wide a selection of devices as possible, especially since the Founders Edition has an impressive external design and effective cooling.
As for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB Founders Edition, it is very similar to the reference RTX 4070. Compact two-slot design, total length 240 mm. Interestingly, the RTX 4060 Ti FE also uses a 12VHPWR connector to connect additional power. Probably most alternative models will be equipped with one 8-pin connector.
