In the universe of Warhammer 40,000, unfortunately, there are not many good games, and in particular shooters. High hopes were placed on Darktide, but it came out “not bad” in the best case. Well, we have another attempt at quality action in the world of endless galactic war: Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and the developer has released a new gameplay trailer.

Boltgun belongs to the category of “old school” or retro-shooters – in English they are also called boomer shooters. This means “90s” stylization, both in graphics and gameplay Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun looks like a typical pixelated shooter from the era of the first DOOM and Quake, and at least judging by the trailer, it should be played the same way.

There’s been a real renaissance of this shooter subgenre in recent years, with some really great games like Prodeus. Therefore, we can cautiously hope that we can get lucky with Boltgun as well. It will be possible to check whether the expectations have come true in a few days – the release of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is scheduled for May 23.
