As the announcement of the long-awaited mid-range video cards – GeForce RTX 4060 Ti – approaches, there are more and more leaks detailing various parameters of future graphics adapters. General technical specifications of models based on AD106-350 chips are already known, but it seems that we are still waiting for pleasant clarifications.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti specs

According to MEGAsizeGPU, a previously reliable source, NVIDIA plans to offer not two, but three models of the GeForce RTX 4060 series.

It seems that the developers have listened to the feedback of the gaming community, who are unhappy that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti can only have 8 GB of video memory. Currently, the company plans to release the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with an increased memory capacity of up to 16 GB, but this card will appear later than the base version with 8 GB.

NVIDIA is preparing GeForce RTX 4060 Ti video cards with 16 GB of memory

According to the source, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, and GeForce RTX 4060 8GB will be announced this month, but the latter two models won’t go on sale until July.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB modification is certainly a surprising decision from NVIDIA, mainly due to the limited memory bus of 128 bits. It won’t exactly improve throughput, but gamers can expect a larger framebuffer to store high-resolution textures or perhaps large AI models.

However, there is still no official confirmation of the appearance of GeForce RTX 4060 Ti modifications with 16 GB of memory, so this information needs additional clarification.
