According to another leak, NVIDIA has already launched a step-by-step preparatory algorithm for launching the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. The latest updates to developer partners confirm that a final launch date has not yet been set.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti embargo timeline

However, the active phase of preparation has already begun. By April 26, lists of press and opinion leaders were already formed, who will receive copies of video cards for testing and preparing reviews. According to the dates specified in the document, the delivery of video cards to the channel will begin on May 5. It is hoped that unofficial photos of new models will begin to appear more actively after this.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU AD106

From the images available so far, there is only an image of the AD106 graphics processor, which will be used for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. The same GPU is used in a fully functional form for the mobile version of the GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop. For a desktop video card, the chip will receive AD106-350 modifications with the number of computers reduced to 4352.

We will also remind you that GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will get 8 GB of memory and a 128-bit bus. The expected bandwidth will be a rather modest 288 GB/s. At the same time, the video card will have a thermal package of 160 W and will be connected via the PCI-E 4.0 x8 interface.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti specs

Colleagues from VideoCardz draw attention to the fact that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti uses the same board designation as the RTX 3060 Ti models – PG190. This rarely happens when switching to next-gen GPUs. There are assumptions and hopes that this may have a positive effect on the final price of video cards. However, as for the price of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, it has not yet been announced to partners.

If we talk about the timing of the appearance of video cards, the rather ambiguous “End of May” may well mean that the launch of the new line will be delayed until May 28-29, on the eve of the start of the Computex 2023 exhibition, where Jensen Huang himself will speak with a report.
