Here is another car that deserves the title of not just a supercar, but a real dream car. After all, the new McLaren 750S is worth dreaming about!
For example, the exceptional design, made in the company’s corporate style. After all, the McLaren 750S “grew” from the McLaren 720S model and follows the general body shape. However, the 750 received its own front bumper and wheels, an enlarged movable wing, a modified exhaust system with centralized pipes, and more.
But the most important thing is that the McLaren 750S has a more powerful engine! Inside, there is a gasoline 4-liter V8 with two turbines, which produces 750 horsepower. They are sent first to the 7-speed robotic transmission, and then to the rear wheels: all in the classic genre. It is not surprising that with such potential, acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes only 2.8 seconds, and the top speed reaches 322 km/h.
Besides that, the new McLaren 750S has a significantly revised PCC chassis with a hydraulic circuit that compensates for lurch in corners. New suspension arms, newly selected springs, shock absorbers, and carbon-ceramic brake discs are also used. A lot of work to reduce weight has also been done. Thanks to the sports bucket seats alone, we managed to save 17.5 kg, and in general, the car is 30 kg lighter than its predecessor: dry weight is 1277 kg, and in the equipped state – 1389 kg. But the McLaren 750S Spider version immediately adds almost half a centner. But it looks great!
The open version of the McLaren 750S Spider debuted simultaneously with the main McLaren 750S coupe. Such a 2-seater car with a spider body is 49 kg heavier, but it surely offers an amazing feeling when driving with the roof open. In case of bad weather, the roof can be raised and installed in just 11 seconds. And all operations can be performed while driving – at speeds up to 50 km/h.
Production of the McLaren 750S will start this fall. The estimated initial cost is about 285 thousand euros. A dream can also have a price.
