Sid Meier’s Railroads! released on Android and iOS
Legendary railway strategy Sid Meier’s Railroads! got released on Android and iOS mobile platforms.
The original Sid Meier’s Railroads! from Firaxis Games appeared on Windows PC back in October 2006, garnering pretty good reviews from the media and rekindling players’ love for railroad strategy. Sid Meier’s Railroads! is a rethinking of the first game of this kind, Railroad Tycoon, which was created by Sid Meier in 1990 as part of MicroProse.
Unlike many other Firaxis Games games that already have mobile versions, Sid Meier’s Railroads! waited for porting for a long time, as many as 17 years. The adaptation of the game for mobile platforms was carried out by the British Feral Interactive, which, among other things, ported to Android and iOS such well-known projects as Medieval II: Total War, XCOM 2, Alien: Isolation, Company of Heroes, Tropico, etc.
Sid Meier’s Railroads! is available for purchase on Apple App Store and Google Play. The cost of the game is UAH 299.99 or $7.99.
