Nick Fury returns in new trailer for Disney Plus’ Secret Invasion

After the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Nick Fury dropped out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, in the latest trailer for Disney Plus’ new Secret Invasion series, the mastermind behind the Avengers returns, preparing for a new war.

Although most of the new trailer contains previously shown footage, several new moments suggest that Fury’s absence did not go unnoticed on Earth after the Avengers’ final victory over Thanos. While Fury was off-planet, the Skrulls loyal to him watched as the extremist Gravik used the situation to his advantage.

Fury is forced to return to Earth when Gravik’s attacks on humans become more frequent. He reconnects with old allies, but refuses to turn to the Avengers for help. Judging by the trailer for Secret Invasion, we are getting a spy thriller that is not characteristic of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is scheduled to be released on June 21 on Disney Plus.
