The company Meta continues to fill the Instagram social network with advertising. Soon advertisers will be able to be placed in search. So, opening a post from search and scrolling through subsequent posts, the user will also see promotional posts (the same mechanics as with viewing recommendations or user profiles now).

The company is currently testing this way of showing additional ads with selected advertisers, and a wider launch is planned in the coming months.

In this way, advertisers will be able to get more exposure when users search for businesses, products or other content. Instagram confirmed to The Verge that this will apply to “all search terms that fall within our community and recommendation guidelines.”

But these is still not everything, because the company’s list of experiments also includes something new — Reminder ads.

Reminder ads, rolling out to all advertisers as an option in feed, help advertisers build awareness, anticipation, and consideration for upcoming moments. People can opt into convenient reminders and receive three notifications from Instagram one day before, 15 minutes before, and at the time of the event.

Yes, Instagram will be able to send push notifications. In this way, “it will be easier for companies to announce, remind and notify people about upcoming events or launches that may be of interest to them.”

According to Instagram, this way users will be able to “discover new brands, products or upcoming events.” But what to do with it for users who are not interested in it is still unknown.
