Microsoft Loop is a new project collaboration service in which users can create dedicated spaces for planning, meetings, task allocation, issue tracking, and product descriptions. For now, the service is working in a “preview” provided for testing.

However, access to Microsoft Loop can already be obtained both through the website of the service and using mobile apps for iOS and Android. So far, Loop offers only 10 templates, compared to hundreds of templates for different tasks in similar services, but Microsoft should gradually expand their list.

Microsoft Loop – a competitor to Notion and Asana

In general, Loop is similar to Asana and Notion, popular collaboration services. However, like other Microsoft products, it will be integrated with the Microsoft 365 suite. The company describes Loop as “a transformative co-creation experience that brings together teams, content, and tasks across your tools and devices.”

At the same time, any content in the project can be turned into a Microsoft Loop component. They can be shared with groups of people, including those outside the project team. You can also share an entire page as a link or live page.

Recently announced Microsoft 365 Copilot is also available for preview in the Loop. It uses artificial intelligence to offer ways to collaborate and be creative. It now also works with Teams, Outlook, Whiteboard, and Word for the web.
