Google recently announced that its traditional developer conference I/O will take place this year on May 10. The company usually focuses on the Android system, its own services, and artificial intelligence technologies during the conference, but in recent years it has also started teasing devices that will be released later. That’s why we expect to see the new Pixel 7a and Pixel 8/8 Pro smartphones at this event. Photos of the “younger” Pixel were already shared the other day, now it’s the turn of older models.

Thanks to insider @OnLeaks and resource SmartPrix we can take a detailed look at the renders of the Pixel 8 Pro. The first noticeable difference, compared to its predecessor, it is a rejection of the display with rounded edges. Pixel 8 Pro will get a completely flat screen with thin frames. You can also notice that the shape of the case will change slightly due to more rounded corners.

The camera unit in the Pixel 8 Pro will also be redesigned. All three modules will be in one cutout. At most, you can see another sensor under the flash, which was not present in the Pixel 7 Pro. It could be an autofocus system, a depth sensor, or even a LiDAR sensor, but that’s all speculation.

Pixel 8 Pro dimensions: 162.6×76.5×8.7 mm. It is slightly smaller compared to the Pixel 7 Pro (162.9×76.6×8.9 mm). The diagonal of the display will be approximately 6.52″. Almost certainly, the smartphone will be equipped with the Tensor G3 chipset.
