Colossal Order Studio and Paradox Interactive announced Cities: Skylines II, a sequel to the popular city-building strategy Cities: Skylines, which is considered one of the best game of this genre.

According to the developers, Cities: Skylines II offers the most realistic city simulation ever created, in which players can build any city they can imagine and watch it grow from a small settlement to a bustling metropolis. Cities: Skylines II offers a deep and immersive simulation of both individual households and the city’s economy and transportation system that will appeal to both new and experienced players.

“Cities: Skylines reset the bar for city building games when it launched eight years ago, and we are incredibly proud of its impact. We built a thriving community around Cities and introduced many to city building for the first time,” said Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order. “Now, we’ve brought the years of experience we’ve gained to take a new step forward in the city builder genre, again, for our community and new players”.

Cities: Skylines II is coming to PC on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 during 2023.

As a reminder, the original Cities: Skylines was released on PC in 2015, later versions were made for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (2017), Nintendo Switch (2018), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S (February 15, 2023).
