Although these updates are minor, notes INSIDEEVs. So, the most noticeable external updates are gathered in the front of the Volkswagen ID.3.

For example, a new bumper with additional side channels for air is used. A new elongated hood was also installed – now the Volkswagen ID.3 electric car has lost the black insert in front of the windshield. And a new color “olive metallic” was added and the wheels changed.

In the interior, the changes are even less noticeable, but in fact they are even more than from the outside. So, from now on, a 12-inch touch display is used, instead of the 10-inch before. In addition, the software of the electric car and the menu of the control system have been updated, and new functions of route planning have been added, taking into account the available charging stations.

Pay attention to the appearance of new central deflectors under the new display: the shape has changed, the model designation has been added. In addition, the front panel has been covered with stitching, and the seats now have an integrated headrest and also receive a decorative insert with the name of the model range.

Information on technical updates is minimal. Currently, the use of an electric motor and rear drive with a capacity of 150 kW or 204 hp has been confirmed. Customer will also be offered two batteries to choose from – with a capacity of 58 or 77 kWh (the capacity that can actually be used).

It is worth noting that the version with a larger battery supports charging with a power of up to 170 kW; version with a smaller battery – only up to 120 kW. But in any case, it will take 30-35 minutes to recharge the battery within the range of 5-80%. The maximum declared range of the Volkswagen ID.3 with the largest battery is about 550 km.

The start of deliveries of updated Volkswagen ID.3 electric cars to customers is expected in the second half of 2023. By that time, the release of other versions of the updated electric car is possible.
