We have only recently celebrated that when updating cars BMW X5 and BMW X6 they kept the usual design, when the “Germans” demonstrated – they still got it!
For example, in the form of supercrossovers BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M, which received their own design of the front part: if the headlights have changed as in the regular X5 and X6 models, then the huge black insert now resembles the BMW XM.
In addition, the BMW X5 M crossover received changed rear lights, new body colors were added for two models, 21-inch wheels were installed in front, and even 22-inch wheels were used in the rear. In addition, we note that currently the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M models are produced only in the Competition version. And this means the presence of super powerful brakes and a sports exhaust system with four pipes.
Changes are expected in the interior – a large flat elongated display and a new operating system. In addition, the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M models feature a sports steering wheel and seats, as well as improved trim.
In addition to external changes, there are also innovations under the hood: the V8 4.4 gasoline turbo engine received changed turbines, improved cooling and lubrication systems, and a strengthened crankshaft. And the MHEV (“mild hybrid”) system was added, the gear ratios of the 8-speed automatic transmission were changed, and the suspension was reconfigured.
After all, both cars offer a power of 625 “horses” and 750 Nm of torque. They are able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a maximum of 250 km/h or even 290 km/h with an optional package.
Impressive? Then prepare about 160,000 euros – usually the BMW X5 M is a little cheaper, and the BMW X6 M model is a little more expensive. But who counts when they buy such cars…
