Compact foldable smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Flip or OPPO Find N2 Flip, are easy to distinguish from each other only by the external display. This is currently one of the biggest both external and functional differences of similar devices. And Motorola seems to be planning to shake up this smartphone category with the new Motorola Razr 2023 model.

Well-known insider Evan Blass (aka Evleaks on Twitter) has revealed possible images of the next Razr. On the renders, you can see that the external display of the successor will cover almost the entire half of the body and will have separate cutouts around the cameras.

In this way, the external screen will allow you to perform many tasks more conveniently. In addition, the renders show that the manufacturer plans to adapt the software in such a way as to make it easier for the user to navigate the system. Currently, external displays mostly perform a limited number of functions, and navigation is implemented mainly by gestures, which can be easily improved by increasing the display to similar sizes.

A similar image could also be seen on the pages of The Tech Outlook, where the Motorola Razr 2023 model is also demonstrated with an enlarged external screen and code name Juno.

Judging by the name, we will see such an update of the folding smartphone from Motorola as soon as this year. And if the renderings really correspond to the company’s plans, then there will be a lot of competitive advantage in such a model. But there is a possibility that the biggest player in this category – Samsung Galaxy Flip – also doesn’t plan to lag behind.
