Extrapolations, a drama series about the consequences of climate change in the near future, will be released on Apple TV+ next month.

The streaming service has released the first trailer, which showcases a cast full of big names. Stars participating in the show include Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, Kit Harington, Daveed Diggs, Edward Norton, Yara Shahidi, Matthew Rhys, Gemma Chan, David Schwimmer, Keri Russell, Marion Cotillard, Forest Whitaker, Tobey Maguire and Murray Bartlett (last seen in The Last of Us).

The 8-episode series showcases “interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family.” Extrapolations shows how people around the planet are adapting (or not) to the effects of climate change. The film covers several decades in the middle of the 21st century, when humans have already landed on Mars.

Judging by the cast and visual effects-packed trailer, it’s clear that Apple spared no expense in this series. The trailer shows a future version of Manhattan protected by sea walls and hints at technology that could allow people to live in a world that continues to suffer from climate change.

The first three episodes of the series will premiere on Apple TV+ on March 17, and the remaining five will be released weekly.
