We have already talked about the new Subaru Crosstrek car. But first, the Japanese version with a hybrid based on a 2-liter flat engine was presented.
But the new Subaru Crosstrek debuted in a version for the US market, and it is noticeably different. From the outside, such a Subaru Crosstrek car can be recognized by the yellow-green “mustache” on the bumpers, inside – by the similar contrasting decoration of the seats. By the way, the vertical 11.6-inch display is also in place.
However, the main feature of the American Subaru Crosstrek is hidden under the hood – it is a 2.5-liter 185-horsepower gasoline engine that works with a Lineatronic variator and (of course!) all-wheel drive. Moreover, such 2.5-liter cars will be produced at the local Subaru plant in the USA. That is, it is a kind of “local exclusive”. Meanwhile, the regular 2-liter versions will still be supplied from Japan.
Well, should we wait for the second-hand cars from the USA? By the way, they should be inexpensive: the expected cost of the Subaru Crosstrek in the United States starts at $25,000.
