One of Apple’s outstanding achievements that the company can boast of is 2 billion active devices with users. And their number continues to increase. But behind this number you can find no less interesting statistics – exactly how many devices of this manufacturer are owned by one user.

Researchers from CIRP (Consumer Intelligence Research Partners) shared their own report “Apple’s Ecosystem Today”, where the most interesting part highlighted the number of the company’s devices per user, taking into account the company’s most popular gadgets – iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and, of course, Mac.

For starters, 90% of respondents have an iPhone, 73% can be seen using an iPad, 58% of them also have an Apple Watch, and half use a Mac. And already at this stage, one can be surprised at the number of tablets that users have, especially taking into account the fact that the category of these devices has been losing ground for not the first year.

But then it gets more interesting. 30% of respondents use all four Apple devices mentioned in the survey. A little less – 27% – have three items at their disposal, and another 27% have at least two gadgets from the company from Cupertino.

Only 19% of survey participants have only one device. And this category is covered in more detail, describing exactly which gadgets were preferred. Obviously, the company’s smartphone is the most popular – 59%, another 24% preferred the iPad, and only 17% of Mac users. (Apple Watch did not make it to the last list, because the company’s “smart” watch must be used with a branded smartphone.)

“The Apple ecosystem is real and cross-selling works. It is the rare Apple customer who only owns a single Apple hardware device. With iPhone and to a lesser extent iPad as the entry point, Apple has succeeded in gaining device share among its customers,” the CIRP report said.

Of course, it would be equally interesting to see more detailed statistics covering other Apple products, such as AirPods, Apple TV, AirTag, etc. (not to mention small accessories, in the style of smartphone cases or additional straps for the Apple Watch) and how often users update their gadget park. But even such numbers are impressive in themselves, because more than half of Apple users have more than two devices.
