Earlier this week, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple is working on a foldable iPad option. But his “competitors” Ross Young and Mark Gurman said that they have no information about such a company tablet.
At the same time, Ross Young added that he has information about a foldable 20.5-inch laptop, which can be released in 2025 (although he himself does not exclude that such rumors can only be a PR campaign). He already expressed similar thoughts about such a laptop last year.
Have heard about a 20.5” foldable notebook for 2025, but nothing about a foldable iPad for 2024. Maybe this is just good PR for the hinge company…

And so far the analyst has not given up on his words. According to him, the company is still considering a laptop with a folding screen that will allow the use of a virtual keyboard in a bent position or the external keyboard in the opened screen position.
Of course, this will be a new category of company devices that are significantly different from the classic Mac laptops. Therefore, it is difficult to say now if a device will be categorized as iPad, MacBook, or something new. But most agree that in 2024 something similar should not be expected.
Given that the company now has spent a lot of resources on AR/VR headset, it is quite clear that another new Apple gadget will not be prepared in a hurry, because there are still many other devices that will also be updated.
