Elon Musk, who in January 2021 became the second person to accumulate more than $200 billion (in a month after Jeff Bezos), got another business “achievement”. He is the first businessman to lose $200 billion. This is reported by Bloomberg.

At its peak on November 4, 2021, Elon Musk’s fortune reached $340 billion, and he remained the world’s richest person for a year until he was overtaken in December 2022 by Bernard Arnault, a French tycoon who owns a majority stake in Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy selling luxury goods.

Now, after another drop in Tesla shares, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Elon Musk has “only” $137 billion, but he remains the second richest person in the world.

Loss of fortune against the background of Musk‘s very “strange” actions during this year are not surprising. But it should be noted that against the background of the global economic crisis, which was caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war, almost all the figures on the list of billionaires lost a fairly large share of their fortunes. For example, Musk’s eternal rival Jeff Bezos is now only sixth in the list of the richest people with a fortune of $107 billion.

We will remind you that recently we told about the richest people of Ukraine, among whom there are surprisingly many representatives of the IT industry.
