Vivaldi has now announced that integrates the platform into the sidebar of its desktop browser, giving users an easy way to view posts from accounts they follow.

Vivaldi integrates Mastodon into its desktop browser

The Twitter alternative is similar to Musk’s social network and allows users to make short posts. Unlike Twitter, which is run by a single entity, Mastodon is a decentralized service that runs on an open source protocol. Users can create and run their own servers that other people can join. Thanks to the decentralized system, people from different servers can follow each other and see each other’s posts.

With the latest browser update, its users can find Vivaldi Social in the sidebar. You can also add any instance of Mastodon if you wish. When they access an instance from the panel, it pops up and displays on the side, creating a split-screen look.
