The minivan is an almost forgotten type of vehicle. However, they still hold on somewhere! For example, in Japan, where the new minivan Nissan Serena recently debuted.
In general, this 4.7-meter car has retained its recognizable design and body shapes, which are dictated by practicality: wagon layout, flat side surfaces, vertical rear, hood and windshield in one line. Also, the new Nissan Serena minivan received a bold design of the front part with a wide radiator grille and multi-section headlights.
And the new Nissan Serena received a hybrid power unit e-Power, built on the basis of a 1.4-liter engine and an electric motor. In total, this pair produces 163 “horses”, which are directed to the front wheels. Another option is a conventional 2-liter engine (150 hp) paired with a CVT variator. However, this version has its own advantage — such a car can be either front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
In addition, the Nissan Serena minivan can offer a choice of the number of seats (7- or 8-seater interior), several versions with a different list of equipment, the ProPILOT “autopilot” system in updated versions with an expanded list of functions. A pair of large color displays and a button selector of the automatic transmission integrated into the climate control unit also attract attention in the cabin.
The Nissan Serena is now available for order in Japan. The cost of the novelty starts at approximately $20,000 for the regular 2-liter version and reaches $35,000 for the hybrid version in the maximum configuration. Do you like
