Carscoops hint at future updates for the Peugeot 208 – already in the summer of 2023, the car of the current generation may change significantly. How exactly?

First, the design of the front part will be made in the style of the latest Peugeot models: enlarged claws, a massive radiator grille, a different design of the bumper. Secondly, changes are expected in the cabin: new finishing materials, a digital instrument panel, an updated central display, etc.

But perhaps the biggest changes should happen under the hood of the Peugeot 208. After all, the turbodiesel can give way to a new hybrid with a capacity of 136 “horses”, consisting of a gasoline 1.2-liter engine and an MHEV application: such a hybrid should combine good dynamics with good economy. The electric version of the Peugeot e-208 will also be updated: we expect an increase in power (156 hp) and a battery (nominal 51 kWh), which will allow a guaranteed range of 400 km on one full charge. Finally, the Peugeot 208 PSE version is still predicted, which will be the ideological successor of the GTi, but will be built with modern electrification technologies in mind.

Interesting? Then we will wait for 2023 to find out all the details!
