The Ferrari company presented its new creation: a hybrid car called the 499P. It is important that the Ferrari 499P is not a road supercar, but rather a special racing car for endurance races of the highest level, like the FIA WEC (World Endurance Championship) and the LMH (Le Mans Hypercar.

What did the Italians create? A supercar with a full carbon monocoque and carefully developed aerodynamics. As the company notes, in the latter case, not only the clamping force is important, but also good cooling of all units. After all, this is a guarantee of reliability, which is very important in races, especially long ones.

The Ferrari 499P is also a hybrid: it combines a V6 gasoline engine with two turbines (built on the basis of the Ferrari 296 GT3 engine) and an electric drive powered by a 900-volt battery. The total power of the Ferrari 499P hybrid is 500 kW or 680 “horses”.

Among other things, it is worth noting the classic suspension on double levers and the weight of the car for racing at the level of 1030 kg. How will it all work on the track and will it allow the Italians to win? We will find out as soon as 2023, when the Ferrari 499P begins its sports career.
