Currently, Apple’s largest tablet is the iPad Pro 12.9. But maybe it won’t be like that for a long time. According to Wayne Ma of The Information, Apple has a plan to launch a 16-inch iPad as early as the fourth quarter of 2023.

More precise information is not yet available. It is only noted that the tablet will receive a size corresponding to the largest laptop from the current line of the company.

“The 16-inch iPad would likely be geared toward creative professionals such as graphic artists and designers who prefer a larger scree,” The Information reports.

Last summer, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg also mentioned something similar. Then he said that Apple has a separate team working on larger iPad variants and has at least a couple of years to do so. Such terms coincide with new information.

Moreover, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young mentioned in his tweet that the production of a 14.1-inch screen for the iPad Pro has been confirmed, also with mini-LED (now only the 12.9-inch model) .

Confirmed the 14.1″ iPad Pro is being developed with our supply chain sources. It will have MiniLEDs and ProMotion. Not sure of the timing, but early 2023 may be more likely.

Thus, it is likely that the iPad Pro models will match the display sizes of the MacBook Pro next year. The further fate of smaller models is not mentioned.
