Modern smartphones, as a rule, have quite advanced stabilization systems that facilitate the process of taking photos and videos. Not only that, some flagships can boast of special stabilization modes imitating the operation of action cameras. For example, Action Mode in iPhone 14 Pro. Despite this, DJI has already presented the sixth generation of stabilizer for smartphones, which can offer users several interesting innovations.
The Quick Launch feature is exclusive to iPhone owners. When you attach your smartphone to the stabilizer, a push notification appears on the screen to quickly launch the proprietary DJI Mimo application.
A small panel with indicators has appeared on the device itself, which signals the active mode of operation. Modes can be switched using the M button located next to the panel. A total of four operating modes are available: Follow, Tilt Lock, FPV and SpinShot. In addition, the stabilizer received a Side Wheel control, which allows you to change the focal length, as well as zoom in or out.
As in previous versions of Osmo Mobile, Timelapse, DynamicZoom, Gesture Control, Panorama, Story Mode modes are available to the user. The ActiveTrack object tracking function of version 5.0 has become more stable at longer distances.
DJI Osmo Mobile 6 is available now for $159. It comes with a number of accessories, such as a magnetic mount, an LED light, an external microphone, and more.
