California company Impossible Foods, which develops innovative plant-based meat substitutes, also known as artificial meat, has donated more than 4 tons of products, or more than 10 million calories, to humanitarian needs of Ukrainians. The first batch of aid from the company was sent to the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region, with the participation of the charity organization R3ua, which helped deliver and distribute products to internally displaced families.

Due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, millions of Ukrainians have left their homes and are in need of support, including a full-fledged healthy diet. Impossible Foods products contain more protein, less fat and are delivered frozen, which allows for longer storage.

The list of products provided by Impossible Foods for Ukraine includes chicken nuggets and sausage patties of vegetable origin, made from soybean, coconut oil and other vegetable ingredients. Impossible Foods plant-based nuggets contain 13g of protein per serving, 60% less saturated fat and 30% less total fat than comparable chicken products. They also do not contain cholesterol and are healthier for consumption than animal meat dishes.
