The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially thanked NAFO

Twitter users with avatars of cartoon Shiba Inu dogs, also known as Fellas, or NAFO (North Atlantic Fella Organization) received official thanks from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This seems to be the first time that a state body of Ukraine has expressed gratitude to Internet personalities.

“Usually, we thank our international partners for their security assistance. But today we want to congratulate a unique organization – the North Atlantic Flounder Organization, NAFO. Thank you for your fierce fight against Kremlin propaganda and trolls. Congratulations, guys!” wrote Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

It is worth noting that NAFO became one of the biggest phenomena of the information struggle after the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Users with cartoon Shiba Inu dogs on their avatars effectively repel Russian information attacks. And the main thing is that it is a large and self-organized community, which Kremlin propagandists cannot oppose.
