As part of the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2022 broadcast, the Swedish publisher, which recently got their hands on what seems to be almost all the classic game brands, showed a new trailer for the turn-based tactical strategy Jagged Alliance 3, a real sequel to the once famous series.

Judging by the trailer, the new part, which is the responsibility of the Bulgarian studio Haemimont Games (Tzar: The Burden of the Crown, Tropico 3–5, Surviving Mars), will be as close as possible in terms of gameplay to the classic Jagged Alliance and Jagged Alliance 2, but will also include some modern trends in game development.

It is interesting that a game called Jagged Alliance 3 has already been developed. Moreover, it was developed twice. But that time, Strategy First, which then owned the Jagged Alliance trademark, god knows why decided to cooperate with Russian developers who bailed on the publisher. Twice! The first time was Game Factory Interactive and MiST Land South, who “developed” Jagged Alliance 3D and Jagged Alliance 3 in 2004-2006. Later, Akella and F3games, who handled the game in 2006-2009.

By the way, the new Jagged Alliance 3, this time without Russian developers, but unfortunately still with a Russian worker in the team, already has a Steam page. So add the game to your Wish List. I am sure that among the readers of Mezha there are those who have very fond memories of the games of the Jagged Alliance series.
