Ukrzaliznytsia in partnership with Mastercard announced the launch of its own mobile application. It should become more convenient to buy train tickets. In addition, passengers will be able to receive the necessary information about the departure in the application.

In general, in the Ukrzaliznytsia application, users will be able to:

  • Buy tickets for all long-distance trains in Ukraine;
    return tickets;
  • Receive notifications about the journey and train arrival/departure track;
  • Find the journey you need and answers to frequently asked questions about transportation;
  • Get access to a personal account with a travel history and passenger data saved for quick re-orders.

The application was tested in July, and from today it is already available to all users on App Store and Google Play Market.

Ukrzaliznytsia is a direct seller of tickets through the application, and therefore the cost of tickets for passengers should be without additional fees when paying. Passengers will be able to pay for tickets directly in the mobile application with a digital card using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or they can enter bank card details and save them in the application for payment.

The national carrier also notes that the next stage of its digitalization will be the development of a new website, a single portal for onboard services and the development of online ordering of the usual railway services: carriage of cars in the carriage, services of station porters, search for lost items and lounge reservations.
