The Toyota Fortuner car is a real off-roader: a frame base, four-wheel drive, a reduction gear, a powerful turbodiesel. Usually, such cars are bought “once and forever”. But this does not exclude the need for a planned update of the model. What happened to the Toyota Fortuner for the Asian market: a planned update with the change of several details.
For example, the shape of the front bumper has been updated, the LED headlights and the radiator grill have changed significantly – they have become even sharper. New 18- and 20-inch wheels were added, black glossy trim details appeared, and in expensive trim levels the roof can be painted in a contrasting color to the main body color. The most important technical change is the addition of proprietary safety systems TSS (short for Toyota Safety Sense).
It is worth noting that the lineup even includes a “sporty” version of the Toyota Fortuner GR Sport. The latter features a sporty exterior and an original interior with “GR” logos and black and red trim.
However, even the maximum versions of the Toyota Fortuner can only offer a 2.8-liter turbodiesel with 204 “horses” – this is the maximum that is under the hood. However, an automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system work together with it. After all, everything should be “according to the canons” of real SUVs.
