The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, confirmed the arrival of German MARS II multiple rocket launchers in Ukraine. He wrote about this on Twitter.

We are talking about 3 MARS II multiple rocket launchers, the transfer of which to Ukraine was announced by German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht a week ago. The main difference between MARS II and the American M270 is the European Fire Control System (EFCS) developed by Airbus Defense and Space. Among other things, it blocks the use of cluster munitions banned under the 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions. Otherwise, it’s just a licensed copy of the M270 MLRS.

German MARS II MLRS are already in Ukraine

We will remind you that recently the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Zaluzhnyi, posted the first video of combat application of M270 on the front.

In total, the Armed Forces already have 22 systems that can work with high-precision ammunition of increased range – 16 units M142 HIMARS from the USA, 3 M270 MLRS from Great Britain and here are 3 more MARS II from Germany.

We wish our artilllerymen successful volleys!
