The well-known accessory manufacturer Anker released the third generation of chargers using gallium nitride. The line was named GaNPrime. According to the manufacturer, these are “the smartest, most powerful and most environmentally friendly multi-gadget charging systems ever created.”

These chargers work with the latest version of the company’s PowerIQ 4.0 technology, which should poll the ports every three minutes and automatically distribute the voltage between them depending on the needs of the connected gadget. So, for example, the duration of simultaneous charging of two 14-inch MacBook Pros is reduced by a total of 62 minutes.

Also, with the help of ActiveShield 2.0 technology, the charger increases the temperature detection frequency by 75%. This will allow you to adjust the output power for additional protection of the connected device.

The use of gallium nitride also made it possible to significantly reduce the size of chargers. For example, the 150-watt Anker 747 power supply is 38% smaller than the 140-watt unit from Apple. At the same time, the transition from silicon allows to reduce carbon emissions by 30%.

The Anker GaNPrime line consists of six different devices with power from 65 to 150 W, each with multiple ports for simultaneous charging of different devices, and the Anker 733 model is additionally equipped with a battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh. Their cost ranges from $59.99 to $109.99.
