Baykar has never sold Bayraktar drones to Russia and has no intention of doing so. This was announced by the company’s CEO Haluk Bayraktar during an interview with CNN.

The head of the company noted that Turkey and Ukraine have built mutually complementary relations that satisfy the interests of both. He is also proud and comforted by the fact that their drones have become one of the symbols of Ukrainian resistance to Russian aggression.

“We support Ukraine, its sovereignty and resistance,” Haluk Bayraktar said in an interview.

He also recalled that the company handed over three UAVs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine free of charge and noted the high qualification of Ukrainian drone operators who can operate Bayraktars in any conditions.

We remind you that the Turkish manufacturer of attack UAVs has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Only from February 24, 2022, the Armed Forces received about 50 Turkish drones. According to the Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, in the near future almost all of the manufacturer’s facilities will work for the needs of the Ukrainian military.

Meanwhile, a flashmob started in the allied countries to raise funds for Bayraktar for Ukraine. Lithuania already received Bayraktar TB2, which is going to be transferred to the Armed Forces. Poland is also raising $5 million to acquire a drone.
