Almost 60,000 Tesla cars have a security flaw: it was discovered in Germany

German traffic regulator calls on Tesla to recall more than 59,000 cars due to software problems. On June 29, they warned Model Y and Model 3 owners about a bug in the eCall security system. According to Reuters, it does not allow the car to independently call rescuers in the event of a serious accident.

According to the German service, a total of 59,129 cars were affected. Including Model Y crossovers produced at the new factory Berlin Gigafactory.

Earlier this week, three of the eleven Tesla recalls issued this year involved software issues. Recently in the US they announced recall of about 130,000 cars in 2021 and 2022 release due to a failure that could have caused the infotainment system to overheat. New reports of a security breach came after the company announced about a drop in sales by almost 18%.
